I know it’s years away but if they did remake Gen 5 would it be BW alone or BW and BW2 bundled together.

Hopefully not. There isn't a need for a remake. Be careful what you wish for, OP. The last thing I want to see is current Gamefreak touching Gen 4 or Gen 5. I'm sorry, but I no longer trust them to do anything good with this franchise.

if it was done by old GF, you'd get all the stuff BW2 introduced/featured

nu-GF takes all that away, gives kyurem another form, and replaces the battle subway with the regional tower clone from the earlier paired games

Yeah. I think B3W3 is way more likely. I think they'll call it something else since the core audience of 10 year old boys won't have played 1 and 2 at that point, and they'll have been out of print for 15-16 years by that point but I expect a sequel.

They'll make an independent story that doesn't rely too much on the games other than having Team Plasma back again and the Gen 5 starters, having some nods to the older games to appeal to longtime fans without being a direct sequel
They would probably show the original Dragon too
