>>40475200No, BW's story does its pacing and climax better than previous games. Its writing isn't very great though because at no point does it challenge the player's thoughts or preconceived notions. You know Team Plasma is wrong. At no point are they ever treated as being tight. N is treated as misguided rather than someone with an equal point of view. If his point was valid, it would have let you lose the final battle with him. If anything, B2W2 actually legitimizes certain aspects of Team Plasma by splitting them into two groups. The original Team Plasma never cared for abused and abandoned Pokémon. They abused them and encouraged others to abandon them themselves. The Team Plasma in B2W2 that's in favor of Pokémon rights doesn't go on about Trainers releasing their Pokémon. But Game Freak never had the guts to have the team all be like BW N where he cares about Pokémon and wants them released. And if they did, they would do the same "They were manipulated to think this way" copout they did with him.
Yeah, Team Plasma wasn't offensively dumb like Gen III Magma and Aqua, but I'd put them below Rocket and Galactic. Cyrus was kind of like a proto-N that they did right, but subtly. His actions were treated as wrong but he believed that they were righteous. He wasn't exactly wrong about all strife in the world being linked to spirit, but his "remedy" showed how far gone he was. His exile in the Distortion World was also meant to be a blessing.
