The system is just trying to balance itself and go back to an equilibrium, but the rich don't want to lose potential mass money and can only think of the now, so they're pulling the rope further to the current extreme, making things even worse in the long run. Everything in this universe always tries to go back to an equilibrated state; at some point the elastic band were retardedly hanging on has to either pull back or give in.
There won't be a huge catastrophe in the future that changes everything in a night, no, things are just going to keep getting worse and worse over the generations until people someday forget how life was before.
