>>40473543You're logic is flawed. LGPE were largely bought by active Pokemon fans, who would buy games regardless if Kanto shilled or not, whereas TPC is marketing only towards people who hold nostalgia towards Kanto, which a large portion of has since dropped the game.

And even past that, a large majority of the fan base didn't grow up on gen 1, so what's marketable to a majority of non-active Pokemon fans WOULD be gen 1, these are the same people who actively DON'T consume pokemon goods. Pissing off your core audience because you MIGHT drag in some people who remember the anime/might of used to play the games is not only insulting to you as a consumer but also an odd business decision at best.
