Bethesda games tend to be 'so bad it's good', some of the glitches make the game enjoyable.
Sword and Shield are in this 'so bad it's meh', where the bad stuff isn't really something you could have fun.

I don't think the Xatu popping into existence is even the result of actual pop-in, I think it's supposed to be some kind of stylistic choice for spawning a Pokémon into the map. I'm not sure if that makes it better or worse.
