I don’t make a whole lot of friends easily and have recently moved to college, I have made a few but doubt I have the time, I don’t even like alcohol with the times I have tried it, but fuck it muise as well prepare for the funeral of this game

Just don't get the games. Drink if you want or find someone to hang out with. Hell, sit at home and watch Netflix for all I care. Just do something fun. The new games won't be going anywhere. Your birthday on the other hand, is pretty fleeting and you shouldn't spend it on something you wont enjoy. And if you REALLY want the games, you could always get the used for cheaper down the road. Not to mention GF will probably do some sort of shitty "Complete" version if they don't skip to the DP remakes.
