I would like to see Alolan Marowak in Gen 1 style. Old Marowaks thicker proportions (or if it has to look skinny, make it look actually skinny with visible ribs and malnourished), and the abstract patterning on its body and skull turned into warpaint or something. It’d look better.

Arctic foxes are a thing that exist.You're also intentionally ignoring the fact its hair and tail are fluffier. That detail mixed with the colour scheme makes it a better design.

If it was just Vulpix but white it would look like this, which isn't nearly as cute as Alolan Vulpix.

Regional forms are the best kind of nostalgia pandering because they breathe new life into older Pokémon. Even if you don't like the new look their existence allows you to appreciate the original form more in a way you might not have without something to compare it to.
