Anon, I hope you didn't use your pokeball plus on LGPE or else it will be another $5 to transfer the Mew through pokemon home three months after release.

Can't you just put Mew into the ball and transfer it to SS that way? Doesn't the ball hold and transfer Pokemon?

That's not entirely how the ball works, given it does not hold all the data of a .pkm file (i.e. IV's, EVs, etc.), so it would not be able to transfer a Pokemon between games.

You now realize that they'll release a GS ball that will have Celebi inside for the Let's Go Johto games

Diamond and Pearl remakes will also have a Master Ball/Cherish Ball that contains Arceus, no more Azure Flute and going back to Spear Pillar

The Celebi one yes, the DP one no. The Poke Ball Plus isn't really compatible with the mainline games. They just transfer sounds but you can't use it as a controller. There won't be an Azure Flute event anyway but that went without saying they didn't even release the first one since kids hated the spear pillar.

It only activates lights and sounds when connected and a Pokemon is sent to it. The Pokeball Plus does not work as a controller for Sword and Shield. They announced it at E3.

So it likely wouldn't work as a controller for a DP remake either and thus they won't likely release it there. If Pokemon LG4 happens in the Switch's lifetime I'm sure we'll get something with Shaymin but until then it's not likely.

You know they had to cut out in-game evnts in Gen VI and VII as they were prioritising supporting all the pokémon at that stage? How do you know part of content cut from them wasn't a event area they just didn't have time to implement, hmm?

They'd have announced it by this stage. Plus pretty hard for it to be compatible, when the controllers supported used is not just one Joy-Con utilising the stick and two buttons (accept and decline), but a paired set of Joy-Cons/Pro Controller instead.

That's not why they did it. They cut out in-game events because kids found them too confusing overall and regular distribution was simpler. Masuda talked about it ages ago when he was asked why the Azure Flute was never actually distributed. Because for all that anon's whining it wasn't. There's no way to get Arceus legally with the flute. It had nothing to do with the Pokemon, or anything else. It was just an experiment little Japanese kids didn't particularly like.

Funny, I heard it was in response to hackers void glitching DP It's why all Shaymin/Darkrai caught through the events in Platinum had the "Fateful Encounter" tag set on capture, they'd set it so only those mythicals with the tag could move through to Gen V, the distributed Arceus also having them set.

That probably did factor into it even if Gamefreak didn't officially state as much but Masuda's official response to the question was kids found them confusing. I forget which interview it was in and I admit I'm too lazy to look right now but it shouldn't take long to find. He was mostly talking about Arceus, but somewhat implies it's an overall thing. Either way it wasn't because of the sheer number of Pokemon. Honestly from what I understand Japanese kids, like the younger ones that play Pokemon, have a problem with relying too much on authority figures to do everything for them so it never really surprised me that Gamefreak kept trying to dumb it down for their sake. I wouldn't even know where to begin doing research on it overall but I think it's more of a common stigma over there. Doesn't surprise me.
