>>40483958Silver, Wally, Barry, Bianca and Hugh are all better characters than Blue, Blue's only real defining characteristic is that he's a twat, he never evolves beyond that.
Conversely, Silver is consumed by his desire to destroy Team Rocket because of his misplaced hatred against his parents and after achieving his goal he realizes he's been wasting his time and mistreating his pokemon so he resolves to be better and let go of the past; Wally starts out as a sickly child who is just playing at being a trainer, until he's defeated by the player while under the impression he could already take on a Gym Leader and only then he realizes if he really wants to be a trainer then he needs to get serious about it, culminating in the climatic duel at Victory Road; Barry initially feels like he's trapped forever under the shadow of his father's success but thinks it's wrong to feel this way so he hides it behind a facade of silliness and impatience until Rowan places his trust squarely on him during the Team Galactic crisis at the lakes, at which point he realizes he doesn't need to be like his father and that he as his own person is valuable; Bianca starts out her journey with dreams of grandeur, convincing herself that just because Juniper saw it fit to give her a pokemon then this means she's destined for greatness, but finds herself weaker and more useless as the story progresses while the player and Cheren rapidly surpass her, at first this frustrates her but eventually she realizes that everyone has their place in this world and that while she doesn't have what it takes to be a champion there's still positive things only she can do; finally, Hugh is very aspirational, he shows unprecedented resourcefulness by getting his starter all on his own, not because he dreams of becoming champion but because he wants to rescue his sister's Purrloin, which he eventually fails to achieve, but in the process he does something even bigger by helping stop Team Plasma for good.
