The region itself is comfy as shit due to the heavier focus on characters, more free form story progression (namely dropping gyms for something similar but less restricted), and the themes of the region as a whole. The routes are also visually appealing, but the structure and thus mood is let down by just how clearly routed out it is.
I think they didn't have much of a choice there though with the linearity, the 3DS RAM is absolute garbage and is why almost every 3DS game is designed so locked down and with loading zones.
I'm sure someone will mention Xenoblade 3D while failing to consider that that port was made solely to be one of the few open-world 3DS games to specifically market the New 3DS which had increased RAM and looks fucking awful with extremely muddy low res textures, absurdly close foliage pop in and so on.I'm glad they dropped that kind of route design basically immediately with the next non-remake title and went the opposite direction. I'll probably find Galar even comfier but it helps that I'm a Britfag.
>>40490878To be fair, SOS battles were more efficient than Super Training at giving EVs so eh. I suppose Super Training was better if you wanted more precise numbers and the fact it could be done while walking around with the little punching bag thing was a neat dynamic.
Literally everything else you said sounds like you're not using the Pokemon properly and not really an issue with the games. I'm actually fascinated you somehow managed to have trouble with using Salazzle.
