>>40491455Considering Lotad is in the game, it makes sense for its version exclusive counterpart, Seedot, to also be present.
Curiously, Lotad's level-up movepool has been altered for SWSH.
In Gen III, Lotad had Astonish, Growl, and Absorb at Level 9, and Gen IV (and Gen V) it had Astonish, Growl, Absorb, and Nature Power at Level 9.
In Gen VI (and Gen VII, where it went unused), Lotad had Astonish, Growl, Absorb, and Bubble at Level 9. In Gen VIII, Lotad has Growl, Absorb, Water Gun, and Mist at Level 9. It doesn't usually learn Mist until it reaches a higher level, and by this point Astonish was already replaced. Even though Water Gun was likely given because Bubble is a multi-spread move with the same BP as Water Gun, Lotad had Bubble in every other generation so this does lend credence that Game Freak is going back and changing up the movepool for certain older Pokemon for QOL improvements.
Since Lotad is available in Shield as an early-game Pokemon, it makes sense if Seedot is also available at the same point, probably exclusive to Sword. This is the most dynamic change GF made to Lotad's learn-up movepool in a while, so this gives hope that Seedot finally has a good level-up movepool here.
