Its made for casual players and people who just want to relive nostalgia without taking anything too seriously, and keep them just at an arms length for next years game. It makes money. GF itself is nothing special nor particularly talented, and clearly doesnt have much ambition, so it makes sense for them to scale down until they find something alternative, like Town.
Of corse it just plainly shits on more serious players who are expecting a certain standard. But who doesn't shit on standards these days?
