Why do many leaks ignore the existence of Meteodyna?

Becuase Marshadow's name was trademarked around the same time as Solgaleo and Lunala. Affleck explicitly said Eternatus was an evil legendary we'd have to fight.

Eternatus is involved with the main story. Affleck only got up to gym 4, and it's already been mentioned by NPCs according to him.

My theory is that the third legendary will be another wolf though, and Eternatus is a common enemy to all three.

Eternatus is clearly gonna be important to the main story, likely something the wolves fought in some ancient story told early on in the game.

Meteodyna, on the other hand, is likely the giant on the hill and the source of Dynamaxing. It'll also be important to the game, but only come into play later.

Can be, but let's remember that Necrozma yes was a star but a star isn't really a third element to the sun and the moon, plus Eternatus has to be the origin of the Dynamax and guess where Z-moves came from in gen 7.

That could just be the player encountering Zacian or Zamazenta a la Ash meeting Ho-oh or Suicune by chance

So Meteodyna, broken down, is probably 'meteor' and 'dynamic', also probably behind Dynamax. So maybe it comes from a meteorite and is yet another alien creature?
If that giant lizard creature is Meteodyna, then we still don't know what Eternatus is going to be.

These legendaries. Will they be as important as rayquaza on emerald? Suicune on crystal? Heatran on diamond and pearl? Nihilego on sun and moon? I know Nihilego is not legendary but it had some impact on the sun/moon story. I know suicune and heatran are not as important as rayquaza but I'm speculating what roles the normal obtainible legendaries will have on sword and shield and I have no idea what to make of if.

I'm thinking the legendaries will actually be a sort of quartet corresponding to CMYK - Zacian (Cyan), Zamazenta (Magenta), ??? (Yellow), and Eternatus (K / Black). Eternatus will have an opposing role to the trio, kind of like an anti-Arceus (enemy rather than creator). The yellow legendary won't have much of a role in this game and will have more powerful form(s) in the next Galar games.

Interestingly enough, the previews mentioned an item called the "wishing star" being the item that allows you to use Dynamax. This would obviously relate to Meteodyna.

I know it'd be weird to have 2 raven mon in the same gen, but I still really want Eternatus to be Huginn and Muninn to go with Zacian and Zamazenta being Geri and Freki.

That could leave Meteodyna or just some ancient trainer to take the roll of Odin who used to control them all.
Would also fit cause the ravens were supposed to be part of Odin's omniscience. If Eternatus was them then it'd be:

>Zamazenta the immovable object
>Eternatus the all seeing and all knowing eye.
