The gamer.nl confirms there's a new object called PC Link Box that allows you to use the PC anywhere. It's not limited to the Wild Area (though you receive it when you first visit the Wild Area, that's probably where the confusion came from).

It's a lot more convenient and will definitely make the Gameplay smoother but just seems like it will also make it unnecessarily easy and i think going back and forth from a Route to a town or city was part of the experience

Why would you hate the games because of that game? Having a PC anywhere saves the hassle of always having to go to the Pokémon Center to change your party, and Pokémon is literally the only RPG that does that

This also makes the EXP Share always being on look better because now you can seamlessly drop off the rest of your party without having to go to the Pokémon Center. Easier to train the ones you specifically want to.

Other RPGs generally don't have hundreds of party members to choose from.
Now you can just swap out any tired Pokémon and use backups in dungeons, not that dungeons exist in Pokémon games anymore of course.

Yeah, I think the fact the box is portable is one of the reasons they removed the option to turn off exp share, because if you wanna level up a single Pokémon at once you can deposit the other ones easily anywhere.

So just like other RPGs, got it.

This is literally only a problem if the PC heals the Pokémon, and since it didn’t in Lets Go, there’s no reason to assume it would here.

And that also makes no sense. Unless your other members are as well trained as your main team, ie you’ve been rotating as opposed to just sticking with your main six, this wouldn’t trivialize any sort of challenge.

Why wouldn't they be? They killed off the option to turn off exp share so they'll be getting the same exp as any Pokémon that fights.

..No you literally can’t. The EXP distribution purposefully gives smaller amounts to the higher leveled Pokémon as opposed to the lower leveled ones. So in reality, it’d be a hassle trying to train an entire team instead of just doing it individually.

It sounds more like you just don’t want that, and rather continuously soft reset and get fucked by whatever is kicking your ass. And to that I’d say just don’t do that? Why not just run with the main team instead of training other Pokémon if you think it’ll trivialize your playthrough?

Nah, I like it especially if you're deep in a cave and you don't feel like trudging through it again, and you just caught a pokemon and want to see its stats or add it to your party (if your party was already full)

That's not a hassle, it's part of the game. Once you settle on a team at a Pokémon Center and set out, that's your team until you either decide to backtrack and change it or until you arrive at the next Pokémon Center.
