Every mainline Pokémon game has taken place in what's more or less the present day, just with a bit of fantasy tech like Poké Balls.
Would you want to see Pokémon games branch out into different time periods? If yes, historical or futuristic? How far would you like them to take it?

A full on medieval Pokemon game would be pretty cool. It would be interesting to see how capturing would work.

I'd say Conquest but even that game has people saying that they've heard of a distant land where Pokemon are captured in balls so who know what time period it's from.

Yeah, that would be neat. I'd assume that the capturing would be some sort of taming system, because there'd be no kind of capsule technology around.
Would be a good excuse to have your whole party following you around at once.
