Yea but this is pretty much the same thing, its like if you could use 3 Z moves in a row and when you choose to use them it buffs you for said turns.

I'm not a fan of gimmicks. I would rather not having dyna/gigamaxing. However, I prefer this over megas because megas like mega heracross ruined a good pokemon design. If dynamaxing means the mon gets more powerful without becoming ugly, I'll take it over megas any day. I know there's gigamaxing, but on the bright side it only lasts 3 turns so I don't have to see the hideous design for the entire battle. I like the 3 turn concept because THEORETICALLY this should mean less power creep, but we won't know until the game comes out.

Wrong. And even if you weren't wrong the fact that you have to dynamically pick one during the middle of the battle instead of just slapping a stone on during team building makes it more interesting.

I don't like it for several reasons, most petty. The reasons that aren't are as follows:
-Clouds that move as the Pokemon shifts slightly are probably not the effect they were going for. If it was the effect they wanted, then it looks terrible.
-Just another gimmik that will be dead next gen
-Likely that (just like Z-moves) the pokemon that are already great will just get better and the ones that are bad will be worse fostering bland teamcomps.
-Looks dumb
That last one was petty, but I stand by it.

I imagine them working like this

>Probably now dealing no extra damage to each other

>Probably killed because you're already weakened and they're still big
I guess we'll have to see how it actually plays out but I don't know about this gimmick. Especially if roar happens to work on them.

Oh, also it isn't locked into an item again, instead only being usable for 3 turns, giving a lot of depth to the mechanic

You can't fully Protect yourself from Max moves as if they're Z moves and the Dynamax Pokemon can't be flinched to waste their 3 turns. Said Dynamax Pokemon gets a boost in HP so just imagine Dynamax+ Eviolite. Would it even be useful?

I disliked it at first, but it's starting to grow on me. "Any mon can do it" is a nice point, and the extra effects of the moves are an interesting addition.
At the very least it's way better than Z-Moves.
