It's also how I got into IV/nature breeding, since your exact probability of success against a set of randomized opponents matters in successive fights, which makes you quickly realize that even minor stat point differences that might not matter when battling randos online make a world of difference. I always thought it would be a slog, but when you're working towards a concrete goal, even micro-managing can be fun, IMO.
