What are the chances that the final starter evolutions' designs won't suck like the past 2 gens?

But I really liked Primarina, and the luchador tiger, while not my cup of tea, was okay too. I'm confident that I'll like at least one of the starters' final evolutions.

All of the starters can be done well, although my expectations are the lowest for Scorbunny3, since based on what Affleck said about it being a pure Fire humanoid, that's not what I want to see.
I'm thinking Intelleon > Grookey3 > Scorbunny3 but who knows?

Ironically the only thing that made me dislike Delphox was its shitty idle stance. If it was more like its official artwork, I would've liked it a lot more.

Online, sure, but Emboar is easily the best gen 5 starter in-game. Especially in BW2 when you get access to move tutor. The guy has coverage for everything.

In-game performance means little. You can get through a game with any starter, and almost any Pokemon in general, just fine. So it's design people prioritize.

Yeah, I know. I meant it more in the sense that earlier starters mostly turn into animal-like monsters while newer ones turn into characters with very specific roles/professions/archetypes.

All 3 Kalos starters were 10/10. Their models are posed kind of awkwardly but Delphox and Chesnaught are great everywhere else.
