If Sword and Shield brings back an old protagonist that is not Red, who do you want it to be? Personally I'd like to see Ethan. I have an idea of what his team would be but that's too much autism for one post

Ethan coming back would be great. His/Gold's design is my favorite of all the male player characters. I've personally envisioned his in-game team would be made of at least Typhlosion, Ampharos, Red Gyarados, and Togekiss. Not sure about the other two slots though.

I've always thought of it like this. Typhlosion, Togekiss, Sudowoodo, Red Gyrados Dragonite(ExtreemSpeed) Umbreon(New Type from Gen 2 and Day/Night cylcle)

Officially, I hesitate. Red was brought back under special circumstances, and given entirely "gift" Pokemon and deliberately made mute to AVOID characterizing him. Game Freak wouldn't do that again to avoid making a trend of it, but whatever they decide on would disappoint or underwhlem.
