Infinite stews were common in many countries before the modern period. But modern life doesn't really allow for households to have infinite stews anymore.

Britain still has lots of great cuisine though. Roast beef and potatoes, chicken tikka masala*, onion bhaji*, beef wellington, clotted cream, scones, biscuits, various kinds of sausages, puddings, cottage pie, fish and chips etc.

*Both of these were invented in Britain by immigrants. So they're Angliscized versions of Indian food. The same way that vindaloo curry is an Indianized version of Portuguese food.

Spaghetti bolognese is Americanised version of Italian food.

Chicken tikka masala is a Angliscized version of Indian (specifically Punjabi cuisine) food.

Vindaloo is an Indianized version of a Portuguese dish called vinha d'alhos (meaning "wine and garlic").

Banh mi is a Vietnamese sandwich that is heavily inspired by French cuisine (french bread roll, mayonnaise, pate, coriander, pickled diakon radish and carrot, pork, fish sauce/sweet onions, chili).

There are many other examples like this around the world.
