Do we know enough about what Tajiri valued in the games in detail (or what it's like to be involved in Pokemon for over 20 years continuously, even in his distant capacity) to say that? Online trading in recent games and GO's getting people out of their houses both align with the social aspect Miyamoto had in mind with trading and the lost sense of adventure Tajiri says he made Pokemon to recapture. I'd love to hear his take, however humdrum it would probably be, given that the series largely hasn't been his baby this century.
