You say this as of it's baffling to you that people who grew up with a thing that was factually better might pine for the days things were better. It won't change the fact that HG/SS will still be the height of the series, but it is what's to be expected when each release since 2010 is factually worse than the last.
It's not a cycle or some shit, it's getting on a sled and pushing off down the hill.
