Actually both games have different aesthetics and both are equally soulful in their own ways. DP is good for it's toned down colours and simple approach while Platinum is good for it's vibrant and more detailed approach.

The only one of these that's significantly better is the Pokemon Tower. DP version looks soft and calming, the kind of atmosphere you'd want for a resting place. Platinum one looks like it's leaning too heavily on the creepy factor, which doesn't work with the dialogue or the music surrounding it.

That thread is retarded. Flint only had non-fire type mons because of the lack of fire type mons in the regional dex.

DP are INFERIOR to Platinum. Platinum is a revised version of the game and is intended to be overall polished and improved. If anything, there's more soul because Platinum wasn't directed by shitty Masuda. Takeshi Kawachimaru had to fix his mistakes.

I'd say Platinum is mostly better in those pics outside of the resort area. The greenery being replaced with stone tiles makes the place seem less cozy which isn't something you want for a resort.

I remember Darkrai's Dark Void, with an accuracy of 80% and worked in doubles for the 2 enemy foes instead of 1 as Hypnosis. I once defeated a full team with Darkrai+Attack Deoxys using Dark Void to sleep all the opponents at a double match. I ended the battle without losing a single HP because my Darkrai outspeeded all oponents. Legendaries were allowed in the battle.

That image reminded me just how bland and shitty Stark mountain looked in DP. I don't know how they ever thought copy pasting the generic rock areas was okay for a vulcano. At least they fixed it in Platinum.
