I miss when E4 members had "wild-card" pokés. Like Karen, a dark specialist, carrying a resistance (Vileplume) and immunity (Gengar) to fighting-type moves. Or Flint from DP having a team based on fire-type MOVES instead of merely fire-type pokémon. Oh, and speaking of Flint, why was the DP storyline so much better than Platinum? Higher-level gym leaders, harsher level curve, more challenging E4, and no Looker bullshit. I actually preferred the limited dex of DP, because it resulted in the likes of Flint using a Fire Punch Lopunny and Candice having an Ice Punch Medicham, instead of boring mono-type teams.
