There were a bunch of great reasons to excuse XY's shortcomings, that was the game where they ACTUALLY had to make hundreds of models from scratch and wrap their head around moving to 3D. And the PSS was so brilliant that it made online fun for the first time for me, so it was excusable.
But ORAS dumbing down the difficulty, giving you welfare legendaries halfway through the story, not including anything from Emerald, that fucking BF message, and then GF coming out and saying things like "players play on smartphones these days, so they don't have time to dedicate to a game so we didn't include as much content for that reason" made me lose my fucking shit. Imagine designing your game around people playing the competition, just imagine being that out of your mind.
