What exactly is the point of the Original Dragon? I mean, I get that Zekrom and Reshiram represent Truth vs Ideals, but what exactly does the original dragon represent? I mean... what does/did it ever do to earn that title before it got separated?

And are you implying Mew IS? Mew can't even be considered a deity, it's just a progenitor to every other Pokemon and it's really rare. That's it.

As far as we know, the Original Dragon didn't initially represent anything. It was only when it split itself that it decided to stand for truth or ideals.

How would Mew have come into being without Arceus, though? Arceus created Dialga and Palkia, which created time and space, that sorta implies there was nothing beyond Arceus' egg. It makes much more sense that Arceus created the creation trio, and then created Mew as the start of the biological tree of most other Pokemon.
Not to mention, we know for a fact Mew isn't the origin for *EVERY* Pokemon, there's several regular Pokemon, nevermind legendaries, who have specified origins.
