Not every body has the same opinions. I honestly prefer the exp share being available right from the start. Although you should have the option to turn it off for the more hardcore players. It’s a minor issue that won’t heavily affect gameplay.

Personally i'd prefer it be avaliable from the start, be optional, but also have a real downside like giving less experience to the contributing pokemon instead of a full share + half for everyone else. That way you could turn it off to level up a new catch who's somewhat behind and turn it back on when everyone is equally leveled.

It definitely affected XY you fucking retard. Are you saying that being 15 levels above every trainer and one shooting everyone in your path isn't game breaking? Maybe the same won't happen in SWSH if the game uses the gen 5/7 exp mechanic, but if it does, then it's 100% gamebreaking. Might as well just give me a paid DLC option to skip the entire storyline so I can jump straight into competitive at that point.

Just a add a fucking option for fuck's sake. It's not hard, it won't increase the game's size by even a 1KB some fucking autist will mod into the game with literally no effort.

I played fucking SM/USUM. I know that exp share isn't as bad due to the gen 5/7 exp mechanic. It's still terrible though and I ended up turning off that shit early in the game.

Again, there's absolutely NO reason to not have this as a fucking option. You're literally just playing the way gamefreak wants you to play. It wouldn't surprise me that in the future, you won't be able to catch certain wild pokemons because "they'll stir you away from the experience that we want our players to have"

I never said I was quitting the franchise. I just concluded that pokefags are the absolute worst vidya fanbase out there for defending the removal of such a critical but simple feature. I mean, it was kinda apparent already when they defended the dex cut because muh development time and resources, but refusing the implementation of a literal yes/no option that takes 30 secs to code into the game is just way too much for me to handle.
I'll still be playing the game since It's free, I just never expected that I'd have to actually fucking wait for a mod that fixes the game though. Hey, the game might even be balanced around the exp share and I might actually surprise myself (it won't though).

The first Pokemon games were piss easy even without all the features that supposedly make the games easier like current Exp. Share
I beat Blue as a kid with an overleveled starter
I think you need to start treating the games as casual JRPGs and leave challenge to specific challenge runs

Having access to the full dex isn't automatically a good thing especially if you don't enjoy 6v6 Smogon
If you really want to play another Gen of Tapus and Magearna that's on you

There's no confirmation on whether or not the genie of healthy meta got culled or not. Same with the tapus. Hell, the Tapus are probably in since they've only existed for a single game so far, it's way too early to erase them from existence.
Also, showdown will 100% have a ladder for full dex AND a ladder for the SWSH culled dex.
Not to mention that XY disabled national dex pokemon at the beginning, SWSH could do the same thing but they won't

In fact, they also can't scale for people using less than six, so we need to give them six right off the bat. They also can't scale for people using different Pokemon, so everybody will have the same six Pokemon. They also can't scale for different moves, so they will all have the exact same moves.

Showdown has both choices, SWSH only has one choice. I believe that there's no reason to play SWSH over showdown considering all the facts

If you want to play BSS or VGC you need to play on cart
The only reason why you would play on Showdown is if you preferred Smogon rulesets
BSS and VGC are mostly dead or filled will terrible players on Showdown

Yes, too bad that having a yes/no option is way easier to implement than literally revamping or removing an entire game mechanic.

Also, I believe that exp share is the made up rule here. Gen 1-5 games never had the current exp share, gen 6-7 gave you the option to play without the current exp share. Why doesn't the new pokemon game play like the previous games? It's literally just a made up rule by the game itself. No other pokemon game apart from the atrocity that is LGPE does that.
Again, it's such a petty thing that takes no time to implement and it doesn't affect players that want to use exp share. There's absolutely no reason to not have the option to disable it, specially considering the fact that XY and SM/USUM had that option.

Guess what, playstyle is still on shift instead of set by default. There's no reason to put it on set because it's a free advantage. And yet, I still have the fucking option to put it on set in SWSH, and I will fucking put it on set in SWSH.
Why didn't gamefreak disable this option as well? It also took time to implement that fucking option. Oh wait, it didn't because the game is literally a copypaste from USUM. It wouldn't surprise me to see if the expshare disable text is still in the game files. It might have even took more time to specifically remove the option to enable/disable exp share because of that

Also, you're still losing advantage by putting on set since there's no way to disable it during a battle. There's a chance that you underestimate a trainer and that actually end up fucking yourself because you couldn't shift right after defeating a pokemon.

It just doesn't really matter in the single player playthrough because the game is already so fucking braindead easy, which is now even fucking easier because you're forced to accept exp share.

Also, what if you have an absolute drooling retard playing the game? Wouldn't playing the game on shift instead of set better for him? Imagine the game only having the set option because gamefreak can't spend 5 seconds coding a line into the game.

God I hate these people so much. They don't seem to realize that games are intended to be played like this but with the option to transfer whatever you've accumulated in the postgame, which is now impossible.

Besides if this was a good argument Charizard wouldn't be in every game.
