There is only to reasons to justify the Safari Zone. It’s either a rehabilitation/refuge for extant or nearly extant species that are from that region. Or they are just imported game species. Doesn’t make any sense otherwise. I mean shit, in Gen 2 when you go back and the SZ is closed, it basically implied they were either starved, abandoned or released. Only to not be able to find them though... It’s like a guy walking away from a zoo and saying fuck it let em rot. Realistically he’d sell them or send them to other facilities or collectors. Because money. But money isn’t really a huge driving force in Pokemon since it’s fairly utopian
