Serious question, not trolling. Why do people want another "old style" Pokemon game? While you can more or less write off RBY and GSC because they're outdated, there were so many good old style games already. You had Emerald, Platinum, Fire red/Leaf Green, Heart gold and Soul Silver, and Black and White 2. That's 5 different games of more or less the same game design that was as close to perfecting the formula as it was ever gonna get. What could they possibly add to Heart Gold while staying in line with the old formula that would improve it?

That's why I'm fine with gamefreak leaving that formula behind and going in New directions. I just feel like I've played that formula in incredible quality 5 different times. Even if Sword and Shield are worse than Black and White 2, isn't it better than just remaking emerald with a new set of Pokemon for the 6th time?
