At this point, I feel nothing about SwSh anymore. I'm not angry at apologists or GameFreak, just disappointed. It doesn't matter if the games sell well or not. If they sell well, nothing changes. If they sell poorly enough, GameFreak will just transition to developing mainline Pokemon games littered with microtransactions for mobile devices. Regardless of what happens, GameFreak/TPC win and the Pokemon community loses. I can understand that making games isn't easy, and there is constant pressure to release games yearly so they don't fall behind other aspects of the franchise like the anime and merchandise. But what I cannot excuse is Masuda refusing to be straightforward with fans. There was no reason for him to make all of these lousy excuses. All he had to do was say he was deeply sorry for the Dex cut and that's it. If he had just simply done that, the community would be far less torn apart than it is now. I'm just so sick of all the pessimism and negativity from both sides. It's okay to criticize the games, but it's not okay to shit on other people and call them apologists just because they're looking forward to the games. Likewise, it's also not okay to dismiss critics as being whiny and entitled. There's nothing left we can do.
