Remaking diamond and pearl would be a tremendous undertaking, it would mean rethinking Pokémon repartition, fleshing out the characters, finding an actual reason for grunts to follow the nihilist guy, finding a reason for said guy for looking for those specific gods in the first place, despite the assumed cultural deference towards said deity, the gym pacing might be something to look at, the roads must be redesigned so they don't feel like it is just there to waste your time, obviously, the fuckin hm must go and you have to make sure that the game is running fast
That is the viable minimum for a dp remake, anything less would be trash, especially now.
