Sword and Shield are two-region games, and we're going to Sinnoh after our Galar adventures wrap up. The time of remakes is over - we'll now be re-visiting regions with every main-series release, just like in Gold & Silver.
That's the reason the game looks like an N64 game and the 'dex was cut - they've included the entire Sinnoh region as the surprise of the bloody decade.
