We already have something close to fusion shit thanks to Necrozma fusion, Magnezone and Magneton being a bunch of Magnemites fused together, Metagross being 2 Metangs, Kyurem's pseudo-fusion via splicing and there's the "fusion" between Slowpoke and Shellder.
