After the fall of the Soviet Union, Putin goes into politics. He finds a Sneasel in the wild forests surrounding St. Petersburg.
To combat President and Russian pokemon master, Boris Yeltsin's deadly Snorlax/Slaking/Walrein combination, Putin evolves Makuhita into Hariyama, then finds a Flaafy, which he evolves into Ampharos. Ampharos becomes the face of Putin's public campaign as stronk, yet cute.
Upon ascending to the presidency, Putin captures an Ursuring. A symbol of the capture and taming of Russia, and the stoking of Russian nationalism. Ursuring becomes Putin's primary partner, often seen sat with Putin on television. The Ampharosite is later given to Putin as a gift from the president of Japan, allowing Putin's Ampharos mega evolution.
Finally, after many years in power, Putin, at the behest of the Elders of Russia is lead into the north, where all is dormant, frozen, and the minerals need not be mined, but merely picked up from the ground. Here in a cave is where Putin throws his Tsarster ball at the mighty Kyurem. This beast grants Putin the ability to turn all nations, political opponents, or feminist activist groups into ice cubes. Putin's capture of Kyurem remains a secret until revealed by Julian Metange in the Lickileaks scandal. Kyurem and Putin are never seen in public together.
He later captures a Gumshoos, disguises it as a human and puts it in charge of the United States. It is rumoured that his Ditto also holds the presidency of one or more Eastern European republics.
