lol So now it matters when another Pokemon fought before defeat? I don't see people saying that Paul's Electivire in the Sinnoh League was a 3v1 when Infernape beat it. Or how Greninja was a 2v1 loss when BLASTO BAHN beat it.

We already do. The turn-based battles in the games are just abstractions of the real battles presented in the anime.

What constitutes a good strategy in a video game is completely different from a real fight.

Did you not watch the Drake episode and just repost this off from some normalfag social media site? His Dragonite was a case of Ash realizing that he had to use his entire remaining party to weaken it. Ash even stated that his plan was to wear it down using Charizard and Squirtle, and then trusting Pikachu or Tauros to deliver the final blows. Defeating Drake's Dragonite was collaborative effort.
