Ho-Oh is an awe-inspiring phoenix with a nearly unmatched sense of mystique and majesty to it.

That man-hands bird is just an afterthought that got stuffed away in Whirl Islands because they needed a mascot for Silver. It's practically filler, and will always live in Ho-Oh's shadow.
Being a degenerate faggot about Lugia just makes it worse by association.

Lugia was created to shill for the movie. The original story was about Ho-Oh and the dogs, and Lugia didn't exist. He's literally the first movie shillmon and the games, and the franchise as a whole, were changed for the worse with his inclusion. Lugia doomed Pokemon.
