I dont know man, seeing that dog sized T-tar next to the 1 meter mc makes it look less intimidating for some reason, weird right, imagine if he didnt appear there, how would this fight look?

Tyranitar isn't even that tall, if this were tyrantrum at this size we would have a problem
and I like to imagine pokemon are individuals that aren't all perfect clones so I don't have much of an issue with a short Tyranitar on my team
