stop cherry-picking and come up with real arguments, such as the stapled graphics' increasing quality of the series suddenly completely change to chibi and then to 3D with ps2 background material on a console that's previously made multiple games that show it can deal with better graphics.

They already got enough gimmicks on top of a third remake. Again, why can't any other region get some spotlight? Zigzagoon is a breath of fresh air in this Kanto polluted region.

That's not pandering. That's using a Pokemon that makes sense.

With most of the Kanto pandering, you could have used any Pokemon or referenced any other region, and it wouldn't make any difference.

So Alolan forms aren't pandering then because Kanto Pokemon have been in the series the longest, therefore it makes the most sense to give them new forms because more people will already be familiar with their old designs.

XY gives you Kanto starterns, I can't think of another game in the series that hands you another batch of starters from another generation so easily. Emerald gave you the Gen 2 starters but only if you completed the regional dex and that was just because they were extra fucking rare because of the lack of transfer.
Why couldn't XY give you Gen 2, 3, 4 or 5 starters?
Furthermore, XY was high on it's own ass with more Kanto shit like a 1:1 recreation of Viridian Forest or Mewtwo in postgame, let's not forget 2 Charizard and 2 Mewtwo Megas and Pokemon Origins which debuted in the same generation which was nothing but Kanto and Charizard wanking.

The simple answer? Kanto was responsible for Pokemania, sells the most merchandise and is the has the most iconic designs 19 years later, therefore it has more marketability and profitability than taking a risk by pandering to a lesser audience. Basic business 101.

The technical answer? The reason why Red and Blue were successful was mainly because of the simple yet effective gameplay
and the minimalistic yet edgy animal monster designs plus or minus objectmons with said minimalism. Some of the mons even had attack poses that made them feel extra expressive. Of course it would resonate with people. I'm not saying they didnt have cutemons but they worked with aformentioned minimalism so it still appealed to people.

If it was with any other gen's lack of attack poses or "expressiveness". It wouldnt have taken off.

The thing is the success of Gen 1 comes from the themes and storylines that appear in the dex and the shows, that's what they were there for. It was a "complete experience". It wasnt just tied to the games. It was a ouroboros of care so to speak.

People grew up watching Ash's charizard not listen to him. Or Pikachu being a snarky bitch who kinda mellowed out, kinda miss that snarkiness, or seeing Gengar, Haunter and Gastly play pranks. Those personalities stuck with them, even as children. I doubt it would simply "go over their heads seeing by how those are their favourites.

Lesser audience = later gens
Kanto = Casuals, genwunners and nugenners who like the kantomons.

Just look at Pokemon GO and how it made a mini-boom because of Kanto.

Why waste money on a risk/targeting a smaller audience when you can make more on a proven solution
and take advantage of multiple audiences?

that's only first moments of the game, every route after has anywhere from 1-3 other kanto pokemon per route this is deepened when most new mons are rare (sun and moon is the worst with that one).
every kanto legendary is it's own special event within the game excluding the mythical pokemon mew.
this is only a bit more of an insult to injury when despite talking about sinnoh and being close to it (the professor being either from, or working at sinnoh's labs) there are probably less than 5% of the wild pokemon sinnoh natives.
