I made a preview for this game for a magazine I am not going to mention, since I don't want to lose my job. I was able to play a large portion of the game afterwards, so after I heard datamines are coming soon, I decided to share some information. Sorry for my bad english.
>A new option for sending Pokemon into the battle was added. Immidiately after you start the battle, you're able to choose your Pokemon from your team instead of sending out the top Pokemon. You can still use the old system.
>There are a lot of Pokemon I saw during my playthrough. An elephant Pokemon (Rollphan), a bull Pokemon (Troubull) that becomes bipedal, a water fly (Liquiphila) and an evolution for Sudowoodo (Woodover) and more.
>Galar Pokedex is 600 Pokemon big.
>Starter evolve at level 20 for the first time and at level 40 the second time, which I think is unusual for starter.
>Grookey becomes a Gorilla which was Grass/Rock (Kongbeat), my rival Hop got the rumored undercover chameleon (Intelleon). I haven't seen the evolutions for Scorbunny yet.
>Counting the amount of new Pokemon I saw. Currently I saw about 70 new Pokemon while I am around the sixth badge. So I asume there are around 90-100 new Pokemon in this game.
>Gym types: Grass, Water, Fire, Poison, Ghost/Fighting, Ice (not knowing the types for the 7th and 8th yet. Since I only played Pokemon Shield, I am not knowing about any dual types gyms except for the revealed Ghost/Fighting one).
>You're skipping the first gym in the first big city. But instead there's an unofficial battle against one of the minor league gym leaders called Stanley you have to beat. Normal type specialist.
>Levels around the sixth badge are around level 42-45.
>There's a funny mini-game called the Wooloo-Flipper, which is playable in some buildings.
