You realize that all those Pokemon you listed can be badass as they are cute? Do you not remember followmons in HGSS/amie/refresh? There is more than one asset to enjoying something you know.

And cute and badass can be intermingled. Pokemon display a variety of feelings, just read the dex and watch the shows.
