Be real here. If you were in charge of the biggest media franchise on Earth, you would do what makes the most money. Giving Charizard multiple forms over a shitmon nobody cares about like Meganium or Stantler would make no sense, businesswise.

People don't like that Pokemon panders to the same shit so much with little attention to other gens. People UNDERSTAND that Pikachu and Charizard and the like get pandered to because they're mascots and of Kanto and gen 1, but at the same time, who cares about the reason WHY?
