I hope someone has blueprints for the castle or they did one of those 3d renderings with drones or w/e before this happened. Would love to see them rebuild such an iconic building and maybe make it a little more fireproof.

The news said that they were preparing for a festival. They put out that it might of been a cigaret or electrical problem. Same guesses as with Notre Dame. It was also made of wood, so that didn't help.

Not that this makes it suck less, but the original was already destroyed for the most part in WW2.

Heartbreaking to see it destroyed once again though. Really hope anything can be saved from it and rebuilt again.

Lots of the castles and temples in Japan are rebuilt versions of the originals. I don’t see why we can’t jist rebuild a replica. In 200 years, it’ll probably have just as much historic value as the one that existed yesterday had

Hi. Notre Dame was burned because the electric system was very old despite the electrician team of the Cathedral always asking for a replace.

I know personally who used to do the controls to that system.

I know it sounds hard to understand but Notre Dame got screwed by French's own greed :)
