I did and thought it was peak pokémon.
Until I played HG and realized how fucking bland Johto and Kanto are.
Then I played Crystal on VC because "muh soul" and nope, it's also fucking sleep inducing.

The only thing I hated about GSC was stat experience. It takes forever to max out each stat. Besides that I think the games are perfect. Not to mention you can get every shiny through a glitch which is nice along with perfect DV pokemon
