I get that Sword and Shield have glaring flaws and it might not be what you expected for the eigth generation. But shouldn't we at least try to have fun with what could very well be two of the last mainline titles before the series inevitably switches to mobile only due to GO's incredible success?

No. I don't have fun with the campaigns. I can't believe any adult can have fun with the campaigns. They are complete shit. Shallow, easy, repetitive, purile dialogue, linear, tutorials up your ass. I only got excited for the games for the collecting (desire killed by national dex removal) metagame shit (desire killed by national dex removal) and postgame (lazy gamefreak will never bring this back)

If this game doesn't do well and the series goes to mobile, then I've already come to terms with that possibility. Put it down as it ravenously eats itself.

The games are terrible and I think the last time I fully enjoyed the experience all the way through is RSE. The only reason to care about the games at this point is for the new Pokemon. XY and SM are games I didn't even bother picking up if the games switch to mobile, assuming they keep making more monsters I won't care. There are better things to play on my Switch.
