I think all games are more or less acceptable until ORAS. That was just a downgrade from RSE, albeit it has all current Pokemon, TMs and online, so it gets a pass. But:
(U)SM:
>removed region, replaced with NPC interactions you can't skip (so long replay value)>convenient online removed, say hello to this cringey carnival you have to run around in instead of a fucking menu on the second screen>megas limited to eventsLGPE:
>Almost doesn't feel like a mainline Pokemon game, but I will say it's better than fucking (U)SM. Kanto is an actual region and this is basically just an ORAS version of it. Definitely a harsh downgrade from RBY/FRLG and a really lazy cashgrab, it's babbymode leapfrog garbage, but not as bad as SM.>Sucks/ShillsI'm not sure. I will say that every single thing I've seen or heard about this game is fucking awful. Everything is removed, from Pokemon to modes of battle, you name it, this is extremely barebones and lazy, the graphics look like 3DS (which is basically N64), paid online, REALLLY BIIIIIG, like this looks like a ball of cancer. It literally seems like SM 1.4: Less Characters Edition. All that said, SWASH could potentially be better than SM if it has 2 things:
>decent, explorable region, not just hallways leading to fucking flags, like Kalos-tier would be acceptable albeit best of a bad situation>SKIP CUTSCENE BUTONthe worst part of Pokemon has always been the weird jibberish dialogue, but until XY and to a much greater extent SM, it was never an issue, but in SM they decided to forgo your Pokemon journey in favor of a lazy guided tour following flags around getting bombarded by NPCs. If Galar is a decent region to explore instead of just a path to the next cringey scene, and when you get to a cringey scene you can press B just to get back to the game, then maybe SWHIT will be passable. Then again you have to pay for the online, so that might be a dealbreaker.
