UU in older gens is what NU is today.
It’s powerlevel is the same throughout all gens.
It’s only natural that a bigger gap between the best and worst would increase every gen in terms of numbers.
The fact is, the shitmon that are in SWSH are not suddenly going to be top tier unless they get superbuffed or hard counter new top tier.

To give you a better idea;
Imagine USUM right now, still having Ash-Greninja, but there is no Tapu Fini, Mega Gyarados, Chansey, Kommo-o, Keldeo, Mantine, ect.
That’s what people are afraid SWSH’s meta will look like, since that’s what happened in LGPE.
There existed so few counters to Melmetal and Mega Gengar/Alakazam, not to mention the removal of Rapid Spin+Defog+Heal Bell.

It is interesting, tht VCG has a completely other tier lost. For example, Hitmontop and Cresselia are both pretty common in VCG, but rare in OU and even in UU.

But LGPE had only 152 mons while SS has at least 400+ so it's not comparable. The meta will be fine.The only one who should be seething are garchomp and tapu fans

Silk scarf quick attack, return (or strength), hypnosis, and any attack boosting move if it gets one, otherwise agility. Would've been very useful and pretty fast for pure normal non until the power creep after Gen 4.
