I remember when every new generation meant brand new models and attack animations, this alone would make a new purchase worth it.
Seeing a new interpretation for your favorite pokemon or game is 90% of the reasons games would feel new and fresh.
But for the last 6 years are so, we've had the same shitty models, with the same shitty animations, the games truly felt stale.
New game is announced and i'm hyped as fuck, finally new models, but NOPE, lamefreak the bunch of talently hacks are still reusing the same assets. Not only do we not get new models, but literally half of the pokemon won't even be in the game, this is under shooting even the lowest of standards for what a brand new console pokemon game should be.
