I actually once had the ideia of a puppy pokemon that is ground type and you need to reach a certain level and then faint it to evolve.

It was based on my dead dog.

It looks like the Shield legendary has retracted some of his shield mane in this image. I'm guessing that he can retract it even more until it's just a small shield around his head like pic related shittily demonstrates.

It'd still look like a shield but it'd also mean that he isn't carrying a massive shield mane around him 24/7.

Wish they put that amount of detail into Zacian and it's sword - it could lean down when it gets big like the overview trailer (like Link using a 2-handed weapon in BOTW, for instance)

Sorry guys, that first image was embarrassingly shitty even by my shitty standards. Here's a version that's still shitty like I promised but does a much better job at conveying my theory that he can retract his shield down to just the part around his head that's in the shape of a shield.
