Considering theres actual gamplay and actual new mechanics (not cheap gimmicks) i will allow it. Its a 100 hour game with almost no story and even then its way better than anything gamefreak has done in the past 15 years. Even the 2d zeldas look and play better. Well considering that they got rid of random encounters on the new one and theres enemoes interacting with the environment everywhere yeah dq is doing things way better than pokemon is. Oh and it has a stronger art direction and engaging combat mechanics. It feels like what pokemon should have been this generation.
