Think about it, being a bara means jack shit, you have no stamina and are easily ganged up, instead being a waifu grant you a circle of powerful allies ready to die for you because of your waifuness. Hell, it's the same for Gorillas, the male Silverback seems strong but is usually a weak lazy bums that can only survive thanks to the females, but unlike the superior waifus it doesn't entice predators, and it's fact is on it's way to extinction.
Simply put, Waifus are the true thinking man choice, only retards would chose a dying weak monkey.
